WILLOW PARK – The 31st Annual Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout presented by First Financial Bank took place on Friday, with an incredible 263 golfers supporting Tarleton Athletics at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas. “Our supporters amaze me year after year,” said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Lonn Reisman. “This year’s turnout was incredible and it was a very successful day. Thank you to everyone involved with the event, including our fans, sponsors, staff, the Texan Club and the Squaw Creek Golf Course. It’s going to be a great year in Tarleton Athletics, largely thanks to everyone surrounding the Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout.” There were 64 teams that competed in this year’s tournament, split between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun tee times. The teams competed in a scramble and had the chance to win prizes for ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Closest to the Pin’, and a hole-in-one shot. The top three teams were awarded prizes for their victory. The first place team played in the afternoon, while the second and third place teams were in the morning flight.
